YB Wong Hon Wai

YB Wong Hon Wai currently serves as the Penang State Executive Councillor (EXCO) for Tourism and Creative Economy. With 16 years of public service experience, he has been pivotal in shaping the tourism landscape of Penang. YB Wong previously represented Bukit Bendera as a Member of Parliament and currently serving his third term as the Penang State Assemblyman.

YB Wong’s extensive experience includes his role as Chairman of Penang Global Tourism (PGT) and Chairman of Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau (PCEB). He holds a master’s degree in Economic Management from the University Science of Malaysia. His other academic qualification also includes a Degree in Computer Science (UKM) and a Bachelor of Jurisprudence (UM).
